How to Get Here

Remember, your flight should not arrive later than 4:00 pm. On departure day, pick a flight that takes off after 12:00 pm. For safety reasons, the boats do not depart when it’s dark.

Please find in the following link an example of our Transfer Instructions. We will send your boat schedule 72 hours before arrival.

Please be aware that after your flight has landed in Puerto Vallarta’s airport it may take you over 1 hour to get to la Terminal Maritima. Although the cab ride is no longer than 15 minutes, the process at customs may take over 45 minutes. So, your boat will be scheduled 1 hour after your flight has landed into PVR’s airport.

The last boat leaving the hotel on check-out day is at 12:00 pm.

Pesos vs Dollars

All your incidentals will be charged directly to your room, so you will pay your bill at the end of your stay. You can use CC. We accept Visa, Discover, and Master Card, however, cash will be preferred as sometimes due to the remote location, we experience difficulties with our bank terminal.

We do not accept American Express. Since all our pricing is based in USD we believe that it is not necessary to exchange money, but if you’re planning to visit the places around Mixto like Quimixto’s Village, Yelapa, or Puerto Vallarta, pesos are a better option, although it is common to use USD in our region. Kindly note that there is no ATM anywhere near Mixto.

Tipping Practices

Tipping is very common in Mexico and much appreciated, however, it is still optional. At Mixto we recommend leaving a minimum of $20 USD per guest per night at the end of your stay directly at our front desk. Mixto’s management will distribute the gratuities among all our staff involved in transportation and hospitality.

Gratuities for spa therapists can be added to your massage receipt and be paid at check-out.

Yoga Instructors, salsa dance teachers, musicians, and professional tour guides may appreciate a little reward in cash if their service is to your liking.

Electrical Outlets

It is not necessary to bring an adapter/converter, outlets are the same as in the USA and Canada. Here is an image of our outlets.
